New ‘Birds of Prey’ Banners; BoP Spin-offs Possible

Apologies for the lack of updates everyone! Been busy, but I’ll try to update the site more often. First of all, Mary is currently in Japan filming her new action film KATE for Netflix. Aside from wrapping up in early December, I have no new info on the project…for the time being. Now onto the good stuff!

WB has recently released two new banners promoting Birds of Prey and they have been uploaded to the gallery. Remember, next month, Mary along with the rest of the cast will be attending CCXP in Brazil so a new trailer is likely to drop then so stay tuned!

In related news, Variety is reporting that should the upcoming Batman film with Robert Pattinson prove to be successful, key cast members from Birds of Prey and The Batman have contract options to appear in sequels and standalone films. Additionally, DC’s Joker had an ‘R’ rating and in the case of “Birds of Prey,” the film won’t be in the pitch-black, grim vein of “Joker.” Insiders describe the film has a more humorous, spirited, girl gang adventure, albeit not one for younger children. A series of recent reshoots dramatically improved test screening results and the studio is confident “Birds of Prey” will be a hit when it opens in February.

New The Wrap Photo Shoot and Interview

About two weeks ago, The Wrap posted a clip of Mary discussing taking on the role of Huntress in the upcoming Birds of Prey movie and now, they have released another part of that interview with Mary talking about her role in Gemini Man and how she hopes technology in the future doesn’t make actors obsolete. Along with the interview clip below, they also did a very beautiful photo shoot with her which you can view in the gallery.

The Wrap 2019 Photo Shoot

“My hope and my optimistic point of view is that ultimately people will always need that human element, you know, to connect to,” she said. “As time goes on and the technology gets further and further along, everybody might follow that for a little while, but hopefully you’ll always need the real human being to keep it grounded. We really hope so in the acting community that that’ll be the case.”

New ‘The Parts You Lose’ Clip and Still

A clip for director Christopher Cantwell’s (Halt & Catch Fire) feature film, The Parts You Lose, has been released and you can watch it below. The movie will be out in select theaters tomorrow and will also be streaming on VOD. You can also head to the gallery and see a new still of Mary.

Starring Aaron Paul and Danny Murphy as Wesley, the plot for the film is as follows:

Wesley, a young Deaf boy, is frequently bullied at school, and his home life, a sanctuary, consists of his loving mother and younger sister. When his father, a rough, unhappy man (Scoot McNairy), returns home, Wesley withdraws into a shy and uneasy silence. But one day, on his cold walk home from the school, Wesley finds a strange man helpless and bleeding next to the road. He brings the man to an abandoned barn not far from his house. The man slowly recovers, helped by Wesley, who sneaks him food and medical supplies unbeknownst to his parents. He and Wesley develop a paternal bond as the man teaches Wesley how to toughen up and stand up to bullies, both at school and at home. As the police presence begins to grow, Wesley sees the darker side of the man he has helped. After a police officer visits his house, Wesley realizes he may not be able to protect the man from being found and from the violence that will follow. Wesley must choose between his loyalty to a dangerous stranger, and his growing understanding of right and wrong in the world.
