The long-awaited trailer for Mary’s new film The Hollars has finally been released and you can watch it below.

I have also added screencaps of Mary’s scenes into the gallery.
 

Co-starring Margo Martindale, Richard Jenkins, Sharlto Copley, Anna Kendrick, Charlie Day, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Josh Groban and Randall Park, the story follows a New York City artist who returns home when his mother falls ill, and has to face the family he left behind. Here’s the official synopsis:

John Hollar, a struggling NYC artist is forced to navigate the small middle-American town he left behind when news of his mother’s illness brings him home. Back in the house he grew up in, John is immediately swept up in the problems of his dysfunctional family, high school rival, and an over-eager ex-girlfriend as he faces impending fatherhood with his girlfriend in New York.

“The Hollars” opens on August 26th.

Back in March, Mary was interviewed for Schon Magazine and scans of the photo and interview have been added to the site.

Winstead clearly isn’t shy about taking on projects of a stranger nature. “I think I tend to follow experience rather than results,” she explains. “A lot of times the smaller films are the most interesting to me, and seem like they would be the most fun experience that will help me grow as a person and an actor.”

Her choice of protagonist seems to emanate from her own internal view of self-worth: “I feel really lucky that there was something instilled in me from a young age by my parents that made me feel like I didn’t need to conform to whatever beauty standards were out there. What’s beautiful to me is that I don’t look like everyone else. That was something that took a little while for me to learn in terms of where I stand in the industry.”

‘BrainDead’ Episode 2 Promo plus Episode 3 Stills

The promo for episode 2 of BrainDead has been released, which you can view below. The second ep will air June 20th at 10pm. If you missed the first one, you can watch it on the CBS site.

Additionally, stills for episode 3 entitled “Goring Oxes: How You Can Survive the War on Government Through Five Easy Steps” have been released via Spoiler TV.

Below is the synopsis for ep 3:

When a bizarre and deadly incident takes place on live television, Agent Onofrio’s (Charlie Semine) investigation into it causes Laurel, Gustav and Rochelle to dig deeper into the bug mystery. Also, can Luke attempt to cover up his affair with his Chief of Staff, Scarlett (Paige Patterson), before his opponent for the minority whip position, Senator Ella Poundstone (Jan Maxwell), make it public?
