Mary Appears in Angeleno Magazine

Mary has a new interview in the June issue of Angeleno magazine. In it, she’s asked whether her portrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln will show her “infamous crazy side”, but Mary said she’ll play Mrs. Lincoln as a more fierce person who was involved politically and served more as Abraham’s backbone. She also discusses her summer plans, which include writing music and making a short film with her husband, Riley.

Be sure to check out the full scan in the gallery, and thanks once again to the amazing kroqjock for the scan.

New Behind the Scenes Video of Mary’s ASOS Magazine Shoot!

ASOS Magazine has uploaded a behind the scenes look of Mary’s July 2012 cover shoot. All the props she posed with and the photos she took look so fun! I can’t be the only one wishing some of those get released, can I? Anyway, you can see the video by visiting the site (until it gets put on YT hopefully) and I’ve added HQ scans of Mary’s article to the gallery. Enjoy!

Mary Elizabeth Buttons Up with ASOS Magazine

As the July cover girl, ASOS magazine chatted with Mary and asked her what clothes she was obsessing with as of late and her reply was “buttoned-up blouses with any sort of collar. I love how it’s one piece that makes any outfit look polished”. That said, they added three pics of Mary holding up the types of shirts she likes, which you can now view in the gallery.

Mary in Bullett Magazine!

Mary is featured in the latest issue of Bullett Magazine looking absolutely lovely! Be sure to check out the scans in the gallery, and major thanks to kroqjock once again for providing these amazing scans! In the interview, Mary mostly talked about her upcoming film Smashed. While the shoot was grueling, it was a cathartic experience for her.

“Even though most days resulted in me bawling or screaming, I knew I’d be okay, because even if it nearly killed me, I could give it everything and in a few weeks I’d be a better actor because of it.”

Another New Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Trailer

MSN has debuted a new trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Be sure to check it out below. And as previously mentioned, the ALVH cast and crew will be screening the film for thousands of sailors aboard the Navy aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln, in the guise of actor Benjamin Walker, who portrays the 16th president in the summer movie thriller ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, and the film’s cast and crew, will visit the sailors serving aboard the Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in June.

As history’s most beloved U.S. president and, according to the movie, its greatest hunter of the undead, Walker will be joined aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln by co-stars Anthony Mackie and Erin Wasson, as well as by the film’s director Timur Bekmambetov, screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith and producer Jim Lemley. Walker will introduce a special screening of ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER for the thousands of sailors serving on the carrier, and the cast and filmmakers will distribute Lincolnesque top hats, as well as fangs – tools that will help the sailors decide, in the words of one of the film’s promotional taglines, if they’re patriots or vampires.

In addition, the sailors will receive movie tie-in edition books, provided by Grand Central Publishing, and special graphic novels conceived by Bekmambetov.

The cast and filmmakers will screen the film at two additional bases at undisclosed locations.

Mary Featured in Men’s Fitness Magazine

Mary has a new mini interview featured in the July/August edition of Men’s Fitness magazine and I’ve uploaded the scans to the gallery, exclusively provided by kroqjock.

Here’s what she had to say in this fill in the blank interview.  The best pick-up line I ever heard was… “Would it be ok to kiss you?” This worked wonders after some great conversation.”  I dumped a guy once because…“I found out he was a cheater in the past. I quickly lost interest.” A girl is trying to hard when… “She dresses for anyone other than herself.” She also said that jewelry on a man is typically not appealing to her.

New Pics of Mary’s RedBull SXSW Performance

Back in March of this year, Mary made an appearance during the SXSW Festival at the Redbull 3Style event where she performed a song with Dan the Automator. Dan took to his Facebook page and added two new shots of Mary–a behind the scenes pic and one of her performing on stage. Check out the new pics as well as the previous photos in the gallery. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we hear some new music from her. 😉

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter NY Premiere Date Set; Troops to see Early Screenings of ALVH

According to the NY Times, the New York premiere of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will be held on June 18 at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square. As of now, the time for the premiere hasn’t been announced, but I’ll keep you guys posted. 🙂

The article also goes on to say that 20th Century Fox is set to announce a series of promotional events  — intended to introduce one of its less likely movies, “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” to some hoped-for fans serving in the United States armed services.

The military push for the film, which opens on June 22 in the United States and on various dates around the world, starts with screenings for land-based troops at undisclosed locations in the Middle East. Then it will move to the Abraham Lincoln, with appearances by the film’s star, Benjamin Walker; its director, Timur Bekmambetov; and Seth Grahame-Smith, who was a writer of the script and the book on which it is based, said Jim Lemley, who is a producer of the movie and will join the others, both on the ship and at the bases.

“We’re going sailing on one of the flagships in the nuclear arsenal,” Mr. Lemley said in a telephone interview on Monday.

Mr. Walker will be in character as Lincoln. Stovepipe hats and glow-in-the-dark fangs will be handed around.

While the article doesn’t mention Mary per se, I can only assume she’ll be joining Ben, Timur and the rest of the team during an event or two so if she does, I’ll post it here of course. *Fingers crossed.*
