Riley took to his Magnificat site and updated us about the film.
I’ll admit it, I’m bummed Magnificat wasn’t chosen to be part of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. I was really hoping we had a shot at Park City at Midnight (the genre portion of the festival) but I knew the chances were very slim considering the number of films submitted. I did hear that they liked the short though so that’s at least a bit of a consolation.
So what’s next? Mary’s film “Smashed” is in competition at Sundance this year so I’ll be tagging along with her and hopefully seeing a bunch of great movies. As far as the short goes, we’ve submitted the film to 15 other fests so far and we’ll slowly begin to hear from them after the new year. I’m so proud of the film and excited for people to see it.
