EO Products and Got A Girl Unveil Two Oil Perfumes

Looks like all those awesome Got A Girl products we saw in the band’s teaser videos earlier this year are finally becoming available to the public! Be sure to visit the link to check out the perfume bottles as well.

EO Products, the leader of natural and organic personal care products, today announced a unique collaboration with Got A Girl — the musical partnership between hip-hop producer, Dan the Automator, and actress and singer, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who recently released the album I Love You But I Must Jump Off This Cliff Now. EO and Got A Girl collaborated to develop two signature fragrances for the Got A Girl brand. Girl and Boy, luxurious essential oil perfumes are launching this week in limited editions and are available to order online and at EO Exchange store locations, shipping in time for the holidays.

“This collaboration came about as a result of mutual respect and a shared passion for artistry and ethical choices,” said Brad Black, co-founder of EO Products. “The perfumes, Boy and Girl, are the physical representation of the alchemy that occurs when like-minded people come together and create.”

The partnership between EO and Got A Girl began earlier this year when Dan and Mary came by EO. Susan, Brad, Dan and Mary sat around the creative table in EO’s headquarters. Susan brought out her private collection of essential oils, a box of tiny blue glass bottles with handwritten labels. Dan and Mary began opening bottles and smelling the essential oils. Sometimes the bottle was put aside immediately, but when they arrived on an oil they loved, the mixing began — hinoki, jasmine, honey and ylang ylang were blended together, and the new scents were passed around. It was an easy, organic process between friends. As a result, two beautiful and enticing signature scents were born.

• Boy is a woodsy scent created by Dan with bottom notes of Hinoki and top notes of Yuzu. A suggestion of Black Pepper gives this fragrance a spicy finish. Dan’s driving sensibilities are evident in this warm scent.

• Girl is a soft, floral scent created by Mary with bottom notes of Jasmine and top notes of Honey. A hint of lavender and cypress give this fragrance its woodsy finish. This fragrance captures the essence of Mary’s sweet, sultry vocals.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

• Boy is like walking in a forest at the edge of a meadow — warm and woodsy with a hint of flowers at the edge, $69.00

• Girl is in the meadow, flowery and sunny — but you can still smell the forest nearby, $69.00

Got A Girl fragrances are Limited Editions and available to order online at EO Products and Got A Girl, in addition to EO Exchange stores in Northern California.

The perfumes will ship in time the holidays and will be accompanied by a chic poster only available when purchasing Boy or Girl.

The collaboration of Brad and Susan created EO, and for twenty years they have been the leading experts on essential oils and personal care essentials. The collaboration of Dan the Automator and Mary Elizabeth Winstead brought you Got A Girl, and in two years they have released an album, developed an olive oil, bubble bath, a Pinot Noir and two signature scents together.

“Collaboration is key to creativity — when like-minded people work together, synergy happens, and the sum becomes more than the total of its parts,” said Dan the Automator and cofounder of Got A Girl. “This has been a brilliant experience and rewarding partnership.”

“I never expected to be involved with creating a fragrance. Dan and I really enjoyed making these together,” added Mary Elizabeth Winstead, cofounder of Got A Girl. “And the scents add one more unusual layer to our Got A Girl collaboration.”

Very exciting and cool news!

Kill the Messenger Available for Pre-Order

Amazon has listed Kill the Messenger for pre-order for DVD and Blu-Ray. According to DVDReleaseDates, the film is scheduled to hit shelves in February of 2015, but it has not yet been confirmed.

Kill the Messenger stars two-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner, who leads an all-star cast in a dramatic thriller based on the remarkable true story of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gary Webb. Webb stumbles onto a story which leads to the shady origins of the men who started the crack epidemic on the nation’s streets…and further alleges that the CIA was aware of major dealers who were smuggling cocaine into the U.S., and using the profits to arm rebels fighting in Nicaragua. Despite warnings from drug kingpins and CIA operatives to stop his investigation, Webb keeps digging to uncover a conspiracy with explosive implications. His journey takes him from the prisons of California to the villages of Nicaragua to the highest corridors of power in Washington, D.C. – and draws the kind of attention that threatens not just his career, but his family and his life.

KTM hit theaters in limited release last month.

The film also stars Mary, Rosemary Dewitt, Barry Pepper, Ray Liotta and Tim Blake Nelson. Be sure to visit Amazon to pre-order your copy!
