‘SPTO’ Grabs Critics Choice Nomination; Mary Lands on IMDB’s Top Stars of 2023

Some exciting end of the year news for all of us Mary fans! First up, it was announced on Tuesday that Netflix’s new anime series ‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ has landed a Critics Choice Nomination for Best Animated Series. The show is up against Fox’s ‘Bob’s Burgers’ & the children’s animated show ‘Bluey’. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 14. Chelsea Handler will host the ceremony that airs live from 7-10 p.m. in the East on The CW and delayed in the West. The group’s film nominations will be revealed on December 13.

BEST ANIMATED SERIES

Bluey (Disney+)
Bob’s Burgers (Fox)
Harley Quinn (HBO | Max)
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (Netflix)
Star Trek: Lower Decks (Paramount+)
Young Love (HBO | Max)

In other news, a huge congratulations is in order for Mary as she came in at #2(!!!) on IMDB’s Top 100 Stars of 2023. According to the site, the rankings came in based on IMDB page views. You can view the entire list of stars here. Here is their reasoning as to why Mary almost took the top spot:

As part of the trifecta of women at the center of Star Wars series “Ahsoka,” Mary Elizabeth Winstead shot to the top of IMDb’s STARmeter, staying in the top five through the entire season. Behind her green Twi’lek makeup, Winstead portrayed Hera Syndulla, a character familiar to fans of the animated “Star Wars: Rebels.” To close out the year, the actress lent her voice to the animated ”Scott Pilgrim Takes Off,” playing the same character she portrayed in the live action Scott Pilgrim vs. the World 13 years ago.

Upcoming projects: Rich Flu“A Gentleman in Moscow”
