Back in 2015, Mary and her friend Justin Carlton, as well as Ryan Kattner from Honus Honus did a kickstarter for a short musical film previously titled “Studio Apartment” which was later changed to “So It Goes”. The film follows Mary’s character, who loses her creative spark, but finds it along the way after meeting a stranger.

The short eventually went on to premiere at the Seattle Shorts Film Festival and the Napa Film Festival last year.
Singer Honus Honus, from the rock band Man Man, has released two new songs and one of them features Mary. The song is titled “Santa Monica”. You can listen to it below or by heading over to Soundcloud.
In related news, the two of them made a short film earlier this year called “So It Goes”, which will have its world premiere at the Seattle Shorts Film Festival. The festival runs next weekend from Nov. 11-13. You can purchase tickets on their website by clicking here. Tickets are just $12 and So It Goes will debut November 13 at 10am.

On her walk she meets a stranger sleeping in a bush who can’t remember the name of a song stuck in his head. Samantha remembers the song, it’s one of her father’s favorites. She and the Stranger slip into a musical, singing “Jackie Wilson Said” by Van Morrison. Reminded of her love of music, Samantha returns home, ready to create.
