Mary Joins Jeremy Renner in Kill the Messenger

Mary is on fire lately!! After just wrapping up her latest indie project The Untitled Chris Messina Project and currently filming the Cinemax show Quarry AND getting ready to work on a feature film with her husband Riley Stearns, Mary has signed on to star opposite Jeremy Renner in Kill the Messenger. Below is a description of the film and Mary’s character:

The actress will play Dawn Garcia in the true-story thriller about journalist Gary Webb and his suicide after being smeared for stories he wrote linking the CIA to a scheme to arm Contra rebels in Nicaragua and import cocaine into California. Winstead’s character is the editor of the San Jose Mercury News, where Webb worked. The Avengers’ Jeremy Renner plays Webb. Rosemarie DeWitt is also in the film as is Barry Pepper.

Talk about a busy girl! So happy to hear all these projects Mary’s working on! It’s fantastic. Congrats! 🙂

Mary to Star in New Film Faults!

Deadline is reporting that Mary will be starring in her husband Riley Stearns’ next directorial debut, a feature film called Faults. In the film, Mary will play a young cult member whose parents hire an expert to deprogram her, but the expert begins to think they might be more of a threat than the cult. Produced by Snoot Entertainment, Faults is scheduled to start shooting later this year.

This comes on the heels of being cast in the Untitled Chris Messina project (which is currently filming) and being cast in Quarry! Congrats on all the recent projects, Mary!!
