I have added new candids of Mary leaving the set of ‘Gemini Man‘ earlier this week in Colombia before she headed off to New York to premiere her new film ‘All About Nina’ at the Tribeca Film Festival. Head to the gallery to check out the pics.

First Photos and Reviews of Mary At ‘All About Nina’ World Premiere
Tonight in New York City, Mary attended the world premiere of her new film, All About Nina. At the event she was joined by her co-star Common and the director of the flick, Eva Vives. I’ve begun adding some photos of Mary at the event and from the after party so check back since I will continue to update. Additionally, two of the first reviews have come out. One from co-star Jay Mohr and another from unseenfilms.
Head to the gallery to check out the brand new pics. Mary looks stunning, you guys!
From the #AllaboutNina premiere screening. Respect to my family @common for being a true Leading Man. Friends, #MaryElizabethWinstead will be nominated for an #Oscar
One of the single greatest performances I’ve ever seen in film.
I’m grateful to have shared a screen with her.— Jay Mohr (@jaymohr37) April 23, 2018
That the film works as well as it does is due in large part to the cast especially Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Common who make their characters real people we really like. Winstead should be singled out and up for numerous awards with a performance that is deceptively simple (a comedian with issues? Piece of cake right?) but in fact reveals itself to be filled with very real and very raw emotion. She is not the typical by the numbers movie girl but one many of us know or are ourselves. ALL ABOUT NINA is one of the best of the early crop of films I’ve seen at Tribeca and it is highly recommended.
Mary Films New Scenes on Set of ‘Gemini Man’
Mary was spotted on the set of her latest film Gemini Man filming a scene with her co-star Will Smith in Tybee Beach, Georgia yesterday. In the scene, Mary ate some cookies while Will’s character tended to her wounds.

The movie hits theaters on October 4, 2019 and follows an over-the-hill hitman (Smith) who faces off against a younger clone of himself.
Mary Snags Saturn Award Nomination
It comes as no surprise that Mary’s work in last year’s season 3 of Fargo was amazing and though awards season is somewhat over, the 44th annual Saturn Awards nominations were revealed earlier today and Mary received a nomination for her work on the FX show. Below is her category:
Best Actress on a Television Series:
Gillian Anderson The X-Files (Fox Television)
Caitriona Balfe Outlander (Starz)
Melissa Benoist Supergirl (The CW)
Lena Headey Game of Thrones (HBO)
Sonequa Martin-Green Star Trek: Discovery (CBS All Access)
Adrianne Palicki The Orville (Fox Television)
Sarah Paulson American Horror Story: Cult (FX)
Mary Elizabeth Winstead Fargo (FX)
The winners will be announced by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films in June. Full list of nominees can be seen here. Last year, Mary won the award best actress in a film for her work in 10 Cloverfield Lane. Hopefully this year we’ll see her take home the prize once again. 🙂

Mary Spotted on the ‘Gemini Man’ Set; New Podcast Interview
Lots of new updates and news to throw your way. First up, filming on Ang Lee’s new sci-fi thriller Gemini Man has officially kicked off in Georgia and Mary was seen on set exiting her trailer. I’ve added HQ photos into the gallery.
In addition to Will Smith and Clive Owen being part of the cast, actor Benedict Wong has joined the film, but there are no details about his role.
And finally, a new podcast interview is up over on “That One Audition“. In it, she reveals how an audition with Oliver Stone went downhill and what the audition process was like for Quentin Tarantino. You can also listen to the interview on iTunes.
Mary to Star in ‘Gemini Man’ with Will Smith
I’m soooo thrilled about this news and so happy for Mary!
Just last week it was reported that Mary was being considered for the front runner to play the female lead opposite Will Smith in Ang Lee’s Gemini Man. She was up against Tatiana Maslany and Elizabeth Debecki and now THR has confirmed that Mary landed the role!
In the film, Smith plays two opposing roles: one of Henry, an aging assassin who wants to get out of the business, and that of his ultimate opponent, a clone who is 25 years younger and at the peak of his abilities that has been tasked to kill him.Winstead will play an operative who has been ordered to surveil Smith. However, she soon teams up with him.
Filming will begin next month with Clive Own joining the cast as the villain.
Congratulations, Mary!
Mary Elizabeth Winstead A Front Runner for Will Smith’s ‘Gemini Man’
I am definitely loving all the newest projects Mary has coming up. With All About Nina completed and The Parts You Lose nearly wrapped, Mary is now vying for the female lead in Ang Lee’s Gemini Man opposite Will Smith.
According to THR, the action film follows Smith in a dual role. One is that of Henry, an aging assassin who wants to get out of the business but finds himself in a battle with the ultimate opponent: his clone, who is 25 years younger and at the peak of his abilities.
Tatiana Maslany is also being considered for the lead and both actresses have read and are testing for the role of Danny, an operative who works for the same company as Henry and is tasked to surveil him. However, she soon teams up with him. Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) is also in the running for the female lead.
A decision for the part will be made soon as the movie is eying a February start with an international shoot that would include locations ranging from Savannah, Georgia to Budapest, Hungary.
Clive Owen is also going to be in the film, playing the head of the cloning program, one of the villains of the movie.
This sounds like a really great movie and I do hope Mary gets the part! We’ll know within two weeks’ time!
Mary Attends the Critics’ Choice Awards
Mary attended her first Critics Choice Awards on Thursday night with the cast of Fargo. While the show itself was nominated as was her costar David Thewlis, Ewan McGregor was the one who picked up the win for his work as Ray/Emmitt Stussy in the ‘BEST ACTOR IN A MOVIE MADE FOR TV OR LIMITED SERIES’ category. Mary was also nominated in the ‘BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A MOVIE MADE FOR TV OR LIMITED SERIES’, but lost out to Laura Dern.
The important thing is that she was nominated and appeared to have a good time. She rocked a pretty pastels Delpozo dress on the blue carpet and went with fellow actor/friend Ben Lewis.

New Candids Added Plus 10 Cloverfield Lane Coming to 4K Ultra
I have added two brand new batches of Mary in Los Angeles. The first set comes from last month when she was leaving Palihouse restaurant after grabbing dinner and the second set of photos is of Mary spotted outside her home grabbing her mail and then going out to breakfast on Thursday. Head to the gallery to view the HQs.

In other news, HighDefDigest reports that Paramount is set to bring Dan Trachtenberg’s 10 Cloverfield Lane starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher Jr. to 4K Blu-ray on January 23. The disc will include 2160p video with HDR and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and supplements will likely mirror those found on the previous Blu-ray release.
You can order the 4K blu-ray HERE.
