A brand new set of actors and actresses have been added to the cast of A Gentleman in Moscow. Deadline reports that several people have joined the series including Leah Harvey, Johnny Harris, Paul Ready, Alexa Goodall, John Heffernan, Lyès Salem, Fehinti Balogun, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Dee Ahluwalia and Anastasia Hille have joined Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the ensemble drama that eOne is making in association with Paramount.
Based on Amor Towles’ internationally bestselling novel of the same name, Ewan McGregor will star in the series as Count Alexander Rostov, a Russian aristocrat who’s forced to make a life for himself in a hotel after being banished there by a Soviet tribunal.
Mary joined the cast last month and will play Anna Urbanova, described as “a glamorous, independent and self-made film actress, at the height of her fame. She uses her wit and beauty to dazzle Count Alexander Rostov. She’s an enigmatic character who keeps her cards very close to her chest. Reluctant to reveal her true self, Anna plays a role off-screen as well as on. The Count and Anna’s sizzling chemistry is clear from the moment they meet in the Metropol Hotel where he has been banished by a Soviet trial, but will this be true love, or just the latest in a long line of roles Anna is playing?”
The show will premiere on Showtime & Paramount+.
